It’s safe to say Russell Bruzek, 85, was not who Susan Jorgensen was looking to meet on First Dates, NBC’s new show that helps singles find love. “These particular that men I’ve been dating have different requirements than I do. They still think they’re 25,” she says before her blind date arrives to the restaurant. “Therefore, I don’t come easy. I’m strictly for monogamy. You’d be surprised at these older men — at least the ones I’ve encountered.”
Speaking of the ones she’s encountered… enter Russell, a man his friends call a “player” who apparently has a great sex life. “I haven’t put my own definition on player yet. I’m a looker!” The minute he walks in, she exclaims, “I know him!” And then she gets up and kisses him hello.
“Theres a senior community in Chicago that is really active,” she explains to the bartender about how they know one another. “They really do a lot of classes and things, so you get so you know a lot of people.” In the confessional, she explains, “This gentleman has a lot of women friends!”
So, was she one of his past girlfriends? You’ll have to see. First Dates airs on Fridays at 8PM ET on NBC.
