Dry shampoo is God’s gift to earth. If you use it as much as the girls in our office do, then you know that it is literally a miracle product. The girls at our office use so many bottles of dry shampoo a week and while we all love it because it keeps our hair in tact and saves the blowouts we got earlier in the week, it can lead to gross build up and grime. So, in honor of the new Spring season, it’s time to give your entire head a refresher and here’s how you can clean it after three days of using dry shampoo.

First of all, there are a lot of clarifying shampoos that get rid of layers of dry shampoo buildup. We can all agree that there’s no better feeling than the first time you give your hair a major scrub and wash after a week of using different dry shampoos — you instantly feel clean. We personally love Fekkai Apple Cider Shampoo because it’s an ultra-clarifying shampoo that’s meant to specifically refresh overworked hair. You can use it weekly to remove dirt, residue and buildup so your hair is cleaner and healthier.

Another one of our favorite clarifying shampoos is ColorProof ClearItUp® Detox Shampoo because it detoxes and brings your hair back to life. While it’s specifically meant for color-treated hair, it does the trick for product buildup as well and it’s 100% vegan. Aside from clarifying shampoos we do have to say that our all-time favorite product is The Ouai Dry Shampoo Foam because it’s literally a revolutionary waterless cleansing foam that actually removes oil, product excess, and buildup.
