“Cardi was mad [on my behalf]. She knew what went down and she was mad because I wasn’t saying anything to defend myself,” Swift tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively about Cardi B, 24, and Asia‘s blowout. “She threw the shoe at Asia because, well, it was a build up of a lot of things. She was mad that Asia was trying to play the victim while I was holding it down,” Swift explains, “And she was mad because she couldn’t get an explanation from Asia as to why she didn’t like Cardi.” Oh, man!

“Even the host at the reunion show was asking Asia to explain, saying, ‘Why you didn’t give her a chance?'” Swift adds of his ex. ‘[But] Asia didn’t want to explain. So Cardi got mad and threw the shoe at her.” Yep, that really happened, and the video is absolutely wild, if you haven’t seen it.
Oh, but wait: there’s more. “Cardi told Asia, ‘Just admit it, you didn’t like me because I was a stripper,”…which is truth, because Asia was denying it. She used to tell me, ‘You are around a stripper, you doing this,’ and I tried to explain to her that this was Cardi’s past — that she’s not a stripper anymore; that we’re working on music,” the “Check Me My Check” singer shares with us. Cardi and Swift briefly flirted on the show, which also fueled the fight, as we saw in the episode. Well, you know what they say…all’s fair in love and hip hop!
