Mickey broke out of prison and decided to head to Mexico to start a new life. Giving Gallavich fans the moment they’ve been waiting for, Ian went along with Mickey. As they headed from Chicago to Mexico, Ian started to get a little uneasy about everything. He reached a point and realized that he couldn’t spend his life on the run with Mickey. Ian decided not to go to Mexico and watched as the love of his life crossed the border.

That moment was seemingly the end of Gallavich. Or is it? Here’s what Noel Fisher had to say about the fate of Mickey and Ian. Could Gallavich ever make it work for good?
“I think they definitely can,” Noel told our sister site TVLine. “The love is there. The dedication to one another is obviously there. I think it’s more circumstantial, and [about] whether or not that’s actually best or in everyone’s highest interest. I think that’s a better question.”
While Noel doesn’t know what kind of future the writers have in store for Mickey, he has hope that Mickey could someday return to Ian. “If he can break out of prison, he can get back into the country, that’s for sure,” he continued. “I think the door is kind of left open. Whether or not that’s something that happens, I really don’t know. But it could.”
