Oh no! Chris Brown's bizarre police standoff and shocking arrest on assault charges could cost him the one thing that means the most to him -- custody of his precious daughter Royalty. “The headlines alone are enough to have Nia Guzman get a judge to immediately adjust custody of Royalty. The fact that he was arrested is not going to help him retain any type of custody of his child. If alcohol and drugs are involved in his arrest, that will only make things worse for Chris. He may lose custody of Royalty,” Father’s Rights Attorney David Pisarra tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.

“The stand-off with the police could imply mental health issues. A lawyer could argue that Chris was attempting suicide by cop when he was taunting the police, especially given the current social climate. These are all issues that the mother’s attorney will bring to a judge,” he continues. Chris made a series of Instagram videos viciously dissing the cops before he finally allowed them to come in and search his home, those certainly could be used against him!

Even if Chris skates on the  assault with a deadly weapon charges for allegedly pulling a gun on model Baylee Curran, 25, his actions that followed can still cost him custody of Royalty! “If charges are dropped against Chris, the fact that he was engaged with showdown with the police could still make a family court nervous and negatively affect his custody of his child,” David tells us. But if the charges stick, things will be even more dire for Breezy. “If there are guns in the household, and he is unstable pulling guns on people, using drugs, this could seriously limit his custody and visitation on a long-term basis.” Yikes!

“A judge will look at what happened to Chris and question his mental stability and decision-making. A judge will likely, at least temporarily, give custody to the mother until a full psychiatric evaluation is done on Chris,” David continues. “A judge will want to know: Why is Chris angry again? Why is he taunting police? Everything that has gone on this week is a giant red flag. He is unstable. This is not a healthy place for a child to be. Until a mental health professional can explain to a  judge what is going on with Chris, it is best for the safety of the child to remain in custody of the mother.” Wow, it sounds like Chris has a really long road ahead of him when it comes to getting his daughter back in his home full-time.
