Well, he moved on quickly! Columbus Short, 33, has some very exciting news after a rocky start to his 2016 year. He is now engaged to be married to girlfriend Aida Abramyan, who is expecting the couple’s first child together, confirms ET Online. While this is incredibly happy news for the troubled actor, it will be his fourth marriage — and comes just a few short months after his third wife, Karrine Steffans, accused him of cheating on her. Awkwardly, Columbus later claimed he had never even married the writer after she was granted a temporary restraining over against him.
Columbus has another child, a son, with his first wife, Brandi, though they divorced in 2003. He also has a daughter, Ayala, with his second wife, Tanee McCall, whom he divorced from in 2014. Columbus vehemently denied cheating on his third wife, Karrine, despite her extremely public accusations. In March 2016 he was even photographed surrounded by his belongings, which Karrine had allegedly thrown out of their home.
Before all of his marriage drama, Columbus was best known for his role on Scandal. Unfortunately, he was fired from the show after he allegedly attacked his second wife, Tanee, in 2014. The shocking claims were followed by even more disturbing details, including that Columbus had allegedly threatened to kill his then wife. Not long after these damning accusations were made, Columbus confessed to suffering from substance abuse. At the time he claimed that he was “struggling” with drug use, and that he had “a lot” on his plate.
