Bobby Brown, 47, and his wife, Alicia Etheredge, recently welcomed a healthy baby girl into the world, with Bobby announcing the news via Instagram on July 21. And it looks like his newborn daughter, which is the singer’s seventh child, has some BIG shoes to fill! After all, according to TMZ, who reportedly obtained her birth certificate, Bobby and Alicia named their girl Hendrix Estelle Sheba Brown!
Bobby and his wife must be big fans of the rock legend Jimi Hendrix, who is arguably one of the most talented guitar players who ever lived! Who knows, maybe little Hendrix will grow up to play some guitar of her own. But either way, we think the unique name is pretty darn adorable!

And to announce Hendrix’s arrival, The New Edition singer shared the happy news with his social media followers by posting a pic of himself smiling with the caption, “Just had a baby girl 10 pounds.” This is his third child (and third daughter) with Alicia — SO cute!
But while we can only imagine how thrilled Bobby and Alicia must be right now, it’s also a painful time for the Brown family as Bobby’s other daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, whom he had with his late wife Whitney Houston, passed away last year during this time — July 26 to be exact. Bobbi was tragically found unconscious in her bathtub in January, which is eerily the same way her mom died, and ended up passing away months later.
There’s no question this past year has been extremely tough for Bobby, but we’re so happy he’s found happiness in the birth of baby Hendrix. We wish all the best for him and his family!
