‘Grey’s Anatomy’: Ben Suspended After Doing Emergency C-Section — Recap – Hollywood Life

‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Recap: Ben & Bailey Getting Divorced? His Recklessness Threatens Marriage

Poor Miranda. On the April 14 episode of 'Grey's Anatomy,' she was forced to discipline Ben after he made a reckless decision. Plus, April and Jackson finally put their differences aside for the sake of their baby, while Arizona made a decision that may affect her relationship with Callie forever. After watching the April 14 episode of Grey's Anatomy, we're super worried about the state of Miranda (Chandra Wilson) and Ben's (Jason George) relationship. The chief of surgery was forced to deal with the aftermath of her husband's reckless decision, when he ends up not only killing one patient, but two.

So a code pink situation put the hospital on complete lockdown. Apparently, Alex (Justin Chambers) thought a kid was missing, so he coerced Bailey into calling a “code pink,” which ends up locking every door and shutting down every elevator in the building. While it’s done in an effort to stop a kidnapping from happening, it also puts patients in jeopardy, as doctors can’t transport anyone to an OR if necessary. Sadly, Ben dealt with this very situation, when one of his patients needed an emergency C-section, but none of the doors or elevators would open. While trying to save the patient’s life, Ben performed the emergency C-section, but it only left her bleeding to death when the “code pink” was called off. She and her baby were then operated on, while Bailey tried figuring out what really happened. Most people felt Ben made a smart decision, but once Bailey looked at the surveillance cameras, she noticed that the elevator door opened again, before Ben even made an incision. Even worse — he looked at the elevator doors open before he cut into his patient.

Not wanting to mix business with pleasure, Bailey asked an advisory board — consisting of Meredith (Ellen Pompeo), Owen (Kevin McKidd), and Maggie — to go over the situation with Ben and come up with the appropriate punishment. Even though Ben saw the elevator open, they felt his attention was on the patient, so they advised Bailey not to punish Ben. But even so, both the patient and her baby died as a result of Ben’s actions, so Bailey decided to suspend him for six months. However, he believed the committee came up with the punishment, not Miranda.

Meanwhile, April (Sarah Drew) got nervous when she felt the baby move inside her, so she demanded Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) run some tests. Luckily, nothing was wrong and Arizona said that’s just what a healthy baby feels like. Then, she and Jackson (Jesse Williams) decided to make amends for the sake of their baby. He felt the baby kick inside her stomach, and they shared a cute moment. We’re not quite sure if it means they’re going to get back together, but now there seems to be hope for that!

And Arizona made a brash decision to fight for custody of Sophia after Callie (Sara Ramirez) told her she’s moving to New York with Penny. Oh boy! Things are certainly going to get pretty crazy.

What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Did Ben get the right punishment? Should Arizona fight for custody of Sophia? Are you happy to see Jackson and April getting along again? Tell us below!
