Carol & Morgan In ‘Walking Dead’ Finale: They Are OK & Headed To The Kingdom – Hollywood Life

‘The Walking Dead’ Season Finale: Where Did Carol & Morgan Disappear To?

Two people who are noticeably absent from the bloody ending of 'The Walking Dead's season six finale were Carol and Morgan. So, where did they go? HollywoodLife.com knows -- and we've got FULL details inside! When season seven of The Walking Dead begins in late 2016, we'll finally be reunited with Carol (Melissa McBride) and Morgan (Lennie James). They are the only two characters that weren't hijacked by Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and The Saviors, but they did find other people out there in the post-apocalyptic world.

As Negan used his mighty bat Lucille to smash the skull of one our beloved characters, there was a surprising sense of relief among viewers when they realized it’s not Carol or Morgan. As fans of the series might remember, Carol willingly leaves Alexandria in the middle of the night, while Morgan decides to go looking for her on his own so that Rick can handle business back home. Despite the threat of The Saviors, once Morgan and Carol caught up with each other they were spared from being kidnapped and held hostage. But, that doesn’t mean they were alone.

After Carol gets shot twice by the Savior that tracked her while she was on her own, Morgan shows up and shoots the guy dead without any hesitation. As important as it was for Morgan to cross that line again, what was even crazier is the two men who came out of absolutely nowhere after the incident. They were both dressed in what appeared to be makeshift armor, like from medieval times, and instead of threatening anyone they simply ask Morgan for an explanation of what went down. When Morgan tells them that Carol needs help, the men are eager to get her to safety.

So, who are these men? Well, comic readers may recognize these guys as members of The Kingdom — a third settlement just like The Hilltop and Alexandria that, unfortunately, is also being bulled by The Saviors. Of course Morgan and Carol don’t know this yet, but they are definitely going to find out.

It’s pretty safe to assume that the two men were able to get Morgan and Carol back to The Kingdom without any interference from The Saviors, only because Negan’s nasty goons were too busy tracking Rick and his group.

More Details About The Kingdom

Although we can’t be too sure how The Kingdom will play out on the show — you know that Scott Gimple and Greg Nicotero love to switch things up a bit — all of the basics should translate perfectly from the comics. The Kingdom is a high school inside Washington, D.C. that is a safe-zone, just like The Hilltop and Alexandria.

Their leader is Ezekiel, and the people of The Kingdom sleep inside the school during the winter, and outside in tents during the summer. Now, here comes a pretty big spoiler, so if you’re unfamiliar with the comics and don’t want a sneak peek and what’s to come in season seven, then stop reading!

SPOILERS: In the comics, Rick and Jesus team up with Ezekiel to take on Negan. Eventually the three communities — Alexandria, The Hilltop, and The Kingdom — merge into one and take up residence at The Hilltop. I won’t spill too many more details, but the good news is that Morgan and Carl are in good hands — even while the rest of their group are in grave danger.
