Chris Brown & Rihanna: He’s Scared She May Have A Meltdown Like Britney Spears

Chris Brown is extremely worried about his ex, Rihanna, after she bowed out from performing at the Grammy Awards. She's under a ton of pressure and Chris believes she may have an epic meltdown like Britney Spears did in 2007. After all, she does already have her own 'umbrella.' Everyone remembers Britney Spears' epic meltdown from 2007, and if Rihanna keeps going the way she's been going, Chris Brown fears she'll end up in the same situation, shaving her head and smashing car windows with an umbrella.

“The industry bulls*** has taken its toll on Rihanna and Chris doesn’t want her to fall off the deep end like he once did. He knows a thing or two about pressure, extremely high expectations, as well as not being able to perform when you’re sick. Rihanna’s not in good spirits right now, and that’s why Chris has reached out to help save her before she has a meltdown worse than Charlie [Sheen] and Britney [Spears] combined. They’ve been talking by phone,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.

As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Rihanna cancelled her Grammy Awards performance just minutes before she was supposed to go on stage on Feb. 15. And a source EXCLUSIVELY told us that it’s because she’s extremely depressed about both low album sales for ANTI and the absence of any romance in her life.

“She keeps a good face for the public, but behind closed doors, Rihanna‘s going through it,” a source close to the singer told us. “She’s depressed. Her album isn’t popping the way she thought it would and that’s got her down. She’s a pop princess with a big ego, but she’s still human and those anti-‘ANTI’ reviews kicked her in the gut.”

Now that Chris has been talking to Rihanna on the phone, we can only hope he gets through to her before something bad happens.
