“He is working and in the studio,” a source told E! News. “Things are great between both of them. Taylor had plans on going with Selena for some time.”
As much as we would’ve loved to see Taylor and Calvin make their red carpet debut at the Grammys, at least we can rest assured that they’re still going strong! He even proved that he was hard at work with several Snapchats and tweets from inside the studio. Calvin’s timing probably wasn’t the best considering he and Taylor recently dealt with some breakup rumors, but we’re sure she understood why her man couldn’t be her Grammy date!
Plus, Taylor seemed more than content to make the Grammys a girls night for her and Selena. Before they walked the red carpet together in their flawless dresses, Taylor shared a video of herself and Sel freaking out over their big win for the “Bad Blood” video — so it was totally appropriate that Selena spent the night with Taylor anyway!
Even if Calvin had been Taylor’s Grammy date, we didn’t really need more proof that his feelings for her haven’t faded. Just days before the Feb. 15 awards, Kanye West totally dissed T-Swift in his new song, “Famous,” and Calvin immediately backed his girl up by commenting on her brother Austin‘s video that slammed Ye right back. Besides, with the way things seem to be going between them, we’ll probably be seeing Calvin and Taylor together on a red carpet in the near future — and maybe even at next year’s Grammys!
