Wow Chris, we definitely didn’t expect this from you, but we’re pleasantly surprised. The crooner sat down for an interview with Notion Magazine that was released on Dec. 18, and the guy actually seems like a completely changed man! Normally unapologetic for his bad behavior, Chris actually seems to now be truly sorry for how he’s acted in the past.

“People make mistakes, I’ve made mistakes, I’ve judged people who made mistakes, and they judge me back,” he said. “The best part about it is me having to learn. I thank God he had something bigger for me to do. The mindset I was in when I was younger, it was full of arrogance, like, ‘Yeah I’m an a–hole like, so what f–k it, I got money like,’ and you know, at the end of the day everybody knows right from wrong.”

So what was the “something bigger” that made Chris reevaluate his attitude? His little babygirl Royalty, of course! When Notion asked him why he named his seventh album after the little princess, he said “I love being a father.” The new, unexpected responsibility totally changed the rapper’s outlook on life. “You can’t be stagnant and you cannot continue to do the same things and expect a different outcome. So for me, it’s a reflections album.” This is so good to hear! Stay focused, Chris. Keep being a good dad and making great music, and we’ll be behind you.
