Melissa’s debut comes in the form of an ad campaign for her stunning new clothing line, Melissa McCarthy Seven7. The photos, taken by Brian Bowen Smith, feature Melissa wrapped in christmas lights, holding a wreath, and looking gorgeous as ever. You can see the glow in her slimmed face and the confidence she has in her new line!
It comes as no surprise that the Bridesmaids star is inspiring fans, and moms, everywhere to be the best they can be. While losing weight can be a tough task to tackle, Melissa claims that simply changing her outlook did the trick. “I truly stopped worrying about it,” the 45-year-old told Life & Style back in June. “I think there’s something to kinda loosening up and not being so nervous and rigid about it that, bizarrely, has worked.” She also credits training with a martial arts instructor for the box-office hit Spy as a kick-starter to her weight loss journey.
In addition to inspiring women to slim down, the Ghostbusters star wants to make a ripple in the fashion industry. “Women come in all sizes. Seventy percent of women in the United States are a size 14 or above, and that’s technically ‘plus-size,’ so you’re taking your biggest category of people and telling them, ‘You’re not really worthy.’ I find that very strange,” she told Refinery29. She wants her line to be uncategorized, giving women the ability to shop together without feeling segregated.
