“I moved in with my girlfriend when I was 18,” Justin reveals nonchalantly in his Complex interview, in which he appears on the cover. Whoa! Who knew? That means Justin and Selena were living together at the height of their romance back in 2012, long before anyone would have suspected they were sharing a home. But, that’s not all… Justin goes into detail about what it was like living with his then girlfriend at such a young age.
“t was a marriage kind of thing. Living with a girl, it was just too much at that age. But we were so in love. Nothing else mattered,” Justin explained, leaving our hearts aching to hear more about the former perfect pairing.

Interestingly enough, for the first time ever Justin also explains where their love all went wrong. Apparently, living together at such a young age is to blame for a large part of the fallout. The “What Do You Mean” singer shared, “My identity was in her. Her identity was in me. When stuff would happen, I would lose my freakin’ mind, and she would lose her mind, and we would fight so hard because we were so invested in each other.”
However, the more Justin talks about their relationship the more it seems he has learned a lot from being in love with Selena. “If I can love you and know that I’m not who I am because you’re being nice to me, but that I love you and I think you’re an incredible person but you’re just as broken as I am on the inside. We’re all just trying to figure it out.”
