During a chat on the New Zealand radio show, The Edge Afternoons, on June 30, Selena partook in an innocent game of “Tabloid True Or False” — which became an opportunity for her to set the record straight on all that’s said about her in the relentless rumor mill. An obvious question to ask Miss Gomez? Whether or not her much-reported “relationship” with Zedd (which ended in April) was just a publicity stunt, as fellow musician, Diplo, claimed it was.

“He said that was a joke! He said that was a joke ’cause I talked to him,” Selena fired back at the accusation. “First off, It’s very interesting that Diplo would think he knew about my personal life, but he doesn’t. I adore Anton [Zedd] a lot and I definitely had a thing with him, which was nice.” And there you have it — a truth bomb dropped right in front of our faces.

Just in case you forgot Diplo’s original diss, here it is: “I’m actually not enemies with Zedd by any means,” the unguarded DJ candidly revealed during a recent interview.
“I just think that he came from such a cool place, and now he’s been pegged as a money-maker for a major label to do EDM, which to me isn’t even a genre,” he continued. “But they pegged him for that. They’ve marketed him, even the fake relationship with Selena Gomez, all the things to sell records took away from the music.”
Hmm, sorry Dip. But we’re gonna have to take Sel’s word on this one.
