Nicole Kidman’s Makeup Malfunction: White Powder All Over Face At Event — Pic

Whoops! Nicole Kidman suffered a pretty serious makeup malfunction at an event in Los Angeles on June 16 -- her face powder was totally visible under the hot lights of the red carpet! Nicole Kidman, 47, went a bit overboard with her face makeup at the Women In Film Crystal & Lucy Awards on June 16. The Australian actress posed on the red carpet with a face full of pale powder that didn't quite blend into her darker skin tone.

The Grace Of Monaco star looked fabulous at the event, wearing a black dress adorned with colorful sequins that showed off her fabulous figure. But a closer look at her face revealed the makeup faux pas. White powder was clearly visible on her forehead, nose and cheeks, especially in contrast to her light hair and bright red lipstick.

We’ve seen this happen to stars before: The bright lights of the red carpet sometimes pick up certain pigments they don’t see beforehand. Unfortunately, for Nicole, it’s an all-too-familiar occurrence — she famously made the same beauty blunder, revealing face powder on her nose and under her eyes, at the premiere of her movie Nine in 2009.

Then, at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival, her face also brought a lot of attention for its puffy appearance, which experts believe may have been the result of Botox and fillers. At that event, she also appeared to cake on the makeup, possibly in an attempt to cover up the puffiness.

Nicole Kidman Honored At Women In Film Event

Regardless of her makeup malfunction, it was a big night for Nicole, who was accompanied by husband Keith Urban to the event. The actress was the night’s main honoree, earning The Crystal Award for Excellence in Film — and she even planted a kiss on her pal, Naomi Watts’, lips while accepting. So funny!

Sandra Bullock, Kate Mara, Kristen Stewart and more stars were also present at the event.
