Ian On ‘The Bachelorette’: So Trashy To Slut Shame Kaitlyn Bristowe – Hollywood Life

‘The Bachelorette’: Ian, You & Your Ego Is The Problem — Not Kaitlyn

When you go on TV to find love, calling someone else who's doing the same thing 'shallow,' doesn't really make any sense. And that was just the start of what was wrong with Ian on 'The Bachelorette.' Ian Thomson is about to get a rude awakening! He showed his true colors while in Texas on The Bachelorette and pretty much said some of the rudest things you could say to a woman. And guess what bud, that's not going to make you the next Bachelor... but it may give you the most-hated title.

Kaitlyn Bristowe stayed much more poise than I could have during Ian’s outpouring of unwanted opinion during the episode on June 15. After reading some comments online, I see that people think he had a right to his opinion. An opinion, yes, but to be offensive, no.[jwplatform McIAWtsh]

Every man on The Bachelorette has the right to be honest, especially when they’re trying to find love. But calling someone “shallow,” and then slut-shaming them isn’t “being honest” — that’s being a disrespectful pig. He told the camera over and over (and over again) that he’d make the perfect Bachelor, and that he was quite the catch.

Well, news flash for Ian — a “catch” isn’t a boy who would speak to a woman that way. It’s a man who can admit things that bother him and be respectful. If he had a problem with her sense of humor, why would he come on the show to begin with? Also, not everyone is interested in everyone — look at Brady, who walked out because he wasn’t interested in her. That’s honesty that can be appreciated.

Ian easily could have told her that he didn’t feel the spark and wanted to go, and like that, he could have walked out with dignity. Instead, he let everyone know how much sex he had in the past, how hot his ex-girlfriend was (key word being ex), and how great of a guy he was. Well, you fooled me! Learn some manners, then maybe you won’t have to tell everyone how great of a person you are, but you could actually show it like a real man.
