When HollywoodLife reached out to Lt. Scott Lewis, Public Information Officer With The Springdale Police Department for comment, we were told that all materials concerning this case could not be released to the public at this time. “An injunction has been filed and at this time, I’m unable to release the report. I would be able to release the report to Arkansas residents who request it, but since the injunction, I can no longer do that.”
How This Duggar Incident Was Revealed
Interestingly enough, it also reveals that the alleged molestations were revealed in a letter written by an unidentified victim. The letter was placed inside of a book, which was later loaned to a member of the church the Duggar family was a part of at the time.
Whoever had the letter not only sent it to the police, but also sent it to Oprah‘s Harpo Studios because the Duggar family was reportedly in Chicago, Ill. filming an interview for her talk show at the time. Then, once Harpo was alerted of the alleged sexual misconduct, they sent what they received to the Department of Human Services.
