Calvin Harris Dating Taylor Swift: Did He Dump His Girlfriend For Her?

HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned that there is no truth to the report which claimed that Calvin cheated on Aarika with Taylor.

“Calvin and Taylor met before they hooked up, but nothing happened until he split with Aarika,” an insider told us. “His relationship with Aarika was actually over in late January, and he met up with Taylor in February at the BRIT Awards in London and was a single man.”

As HollywoodLife.com told you, Taylor and Calvin were flirting up a storm backstage at the awards show, and that apparently, that sparked Calvin’s interest in the “Shake It Off” singer.

“That’s why he proposed some dates together, because he wasn’t attached,” our insider continues. “Aarika and Calvin drifted apart after the Christmas holidays, and it was never really that serious. However, his relationship with Taylor is the real deal.”

Aw! Things are going great between Taylor and Calvin, and they seem so happy together! We’re glad Aarika’s feelings were left out of their exciting new relationship.

Taylor Swift Relationships: Calls Dating Public Humiliation Amid Calvin Harris Romance

Taylor has been in a lot of public relationships, but she’s now trying to keep her dating profile on the DL, and even called dating a “public humiliation” in the June 2015 issue of Glamour UK.

“There is no easy way for me to engage with romance,” she admitted to the mag. “I’m really busy, so I can’t. And it’s a good thing that I feel really independent and I feel that my friends are all I need. It’s kind of a sad way I got here, though…being shamed into it. What else is it when you have two boyfriends in one year and everyone’s calling you boy crazy and making jokes about you at award shows? That’s public humiliation. And I don’t think it’s fair.”

We get you, Tay! Luckily, she’s able to spend some low-key time with Calvin and they seem super happy together.
