Teresa began her 15 month prison sentence at Danbury Correctional Facility in Connecticut, Jan. 5, and we have to say, it’s much different than her glamorous home in New Jersey. Teresa’s jail cell is smaller than some of her guest bathrooms!
Teresa Giudice has had a rude awakening. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star turned herself over to authorities, Jan. 5. to begin her 15 month prison sentence for defrauding the federal government and we can tell you she’s not going to be accustomed to concrete walls and slices of white bread for breakfast! The 42-year-old will be living with a cellmate for over one year and HollywoodLife.com has a photo of her jail cell! We bet she is desperately missing home and her four daughters right about now.
Teresa Giudice: Check Out Her Prison Cell — First Look
There are a total of 994 inmates at Danbury and Teresa is now one of them. The reality star will call Danbury home for the next 15 months and yes this is the same prison that Netflix’s hit show, Orange Is The New Black is based on. Maybe Teresa watched the first two seasons as a guide beforehand?
Even though Teresa will be living in a small cell with one window, other notable individuals have managed to make it there. Singer Lauryn Hill served three months there and was released in October of 2013. We’re sure Teresa is very overwhelmed but maybe she’ll be better off after having gone through this experience.
Teresa’s First Prison Meal Revealed
Teresa checked into Danbury around 3am and RadarOnline.com claims that Teresa ate a fresh orange, hot oatmeal, three slices of bread, a margarine pat, two packages of jelly and two cups of skim milk for breakfast.
We definitely feel for her and hope that she stays strong!
