Peter Quinn may be single, but Rupert Friend, the actor who portrays him on 'Homeland,' is definitely off the market! It was revealed on Dec. 2 that he's engaged! Rupert Friend has popped the question to his girlfriend of one year, Aimee Mullins, and she said yes! Congratulations to the beautiful couple!

Aimee Mullins & Rupert Friend Engaged: ‘Homeland’ Star To Marry A Model

To those of you who aren’t aware, Aimee is super inspiring! Aside from being a whiz on prosthetic innovation, she’s a double amputee who competed in the Paralympics in both Atlanta and London. And before she retired from competitive track and field, Aimee had set a whopping total of three world records!

Aimee has a pretty lengthy filmography too, and if that isn’t enough, the stunner is also a model and a global ambassador for L’Oreal Paris. She’s definitely our newest role model!

The engagement was announced at the L’Oreal Paris Women of Worth Awards in New York. The event’s host gave the couple a congratulatory shout out after Aimee accidentally referred to Rupert as her fiancé on the red carpet. So adorable!

According to onlookers, the pair was blissfully in love the entire night!

“He was very doting the whole night, pulling out her chair, opening the car door… They were really adorable, just enjoying the night and each other’s company,” a source told the Daily Mail.

Rupert Friend: Moving On After Keira Knightley Split

This is Rupert’s first serious relationship after calling it quits with Keira Knightley in 2011. The two had spent five years together and shared an apartment in London, prior to their split. The break up was rumored to be the result of mounting work commitments, as the two Pride and Prejudice actors’ schedules became more and more hectic.

However, Keira’s happily married to musician James Righton, so all is well!
