We know what we’re most thankful for this year — adorable bloodhound Nathan! The lovable pup blew his competition out of the water during the National Dog Show on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 27!
One of our favorite things to do as we recover from our turkey dinners is cozy up on the couch and watch the top dogs from around the country face off in the cutest competition of the year! This time, a four-year-old bloodhound named Nathan took home Best in Show — he sure is handsome, isn’t he?
National Dog Show Winner — Nathan The Bloodhound Wins Best In Show
The Bloodhound Gang must be so proud right now. Nathan the Bloodhound and his close rivals Freda the French bulldog and Bogey the samoyed made it extremely difficult for us to pick a favorite pooch, but it’s not hard to see why the judges ended up going with Nathan!
This dog is the total package — he looks noble and strong, but is also cute and playful. Nathan is also extremely well-trained by his owner, Heather Helmer, which likely gave him the edge he needed to beat out his fellow canine competitors.
Nathan The Bloodhound’s Owner Says He ‘Kisses Everybody He Meets’
In case you didn’t notice, Nathan is also a total sweetheart! Owner Heather says it’s a struggle to walk down the street sometimes because Nathan is just so gosh darn friendly!
“He is an absolute joy to live with,” she told The Baltimore Sun. “He kisses everybody he meets and doesn’t know a stranger – he’d go home with anybody. He makes me smile every day.” Aww, so sweet!
What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Are you happy that Nathan won Best in Show? Who were you rooting for? Let us know!
