Justin Bieber & Selena Gomez: Lawyer Confirms She Was With Him During Arrest

It's confirmed! Justin's lawyer revealed Selena WAS with the singer at the time of his Aug. 29 accident and arrest. Brian H. Greenspan said the couple's 'peaceful retreat' in Canada was interrupted by the unwelcome presence of paparazzi, which led to the ATV crash. Justin Bieber did have his girlfriend, Selena Gomez, by his side during the unfortunate accident between his ATV and a paparazzo's minivan in Stratford on Aug. 29, the 20-year-old's lawyer revealed. Hopefully Selena continues to stick by his side because the "Baby" singer, who was arrested following the incident, is facing charges of dangerous driving and assault.

Selena Gomez With Justin Bieber When Arrested — ATV Accident Spoils Canada Vacation

“Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez‘s peaceful retreat in Stratford this weekend was unfortunately disrupted by the unwelcome presence of paparazzi,” Brian H. Greenspan, Justin‘s lawyer, told People, regarding the accident involving Selena and Justin.

“This has regrettably resulted in charges of dangerous driving and assault. Mr. Bieber and Ms. Gomez have fully cooperated in the police investigation,” he added. “We are hopeful that this matter will be quickly resolved.”

Justin’s other lawyer, Roy Black, adds to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY, “The latest matter will not affect his Miami case since it is closed and he is not on probation. Justin, like many celebrities, are continually harassed by the paparazzi. Their privacy is shredded and these incidents can become dangerous. While the public is not particularly sympathetic, they must realize how difficult these cameramen make their lives. So I am not surprised there is a conflict. It happens quite often and as long as the paparazzi are highly paid for their photographs they will continue. This is one reason I would not agree to probation.”

Shortly after news broke of Justin’s accident and arrest, the singer showed that he has Selena, 22, on the brain by posting an adorable picture of the two embracing, and looking totally in love! Or maybe he was just trying to get everyone’s attention on something more positive.

Either way, we hope Justin and Selena are doing okay — vehicular accidents can be very dangerous. We’re happy they weren’t physically harmed.

Unfortunately, that doesn’t mean everything is fine in Justin’s world. The singer is currently on probation for two years after an egging incident in Los Angeles. There’s a chance that this arrest could trigger a violation.

We hope Selena supports Justin through this unfortunate ordeal.
