‘Teen Wolf’ Recap: Light Him Up

In the first few moments of the episode, someone threw gasoline on Deputy Parrish’s car as he was locked inside. (Don’t do it, Teen Wolf. Don’t. Do. It.)

The gasoline thrower was fellow officer Hank! He admitted that Parrish was worth more dead than alive, so it was a win-win for Hank. Parrish pleaded with Hank to stop the madness, but he lit the car on fire and watched Parrish burn.

‘Teen Wolf’: After Surviving A Fire, Exactly What Is Deputy Parrish?

NO! NO! NO!

Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) and Lydia headed to the police station to talk to Sheriff Stilinki (Linden Ashby) about Lydia’s grandmother. They thought she was the Benefactor. Sheriff Stilinski was willing to listen, but wanted Parrish to pop his ear in too! Even though we watched his car become engulfed in flames while he was inside, Deputy Parrish came barging into the station.

He was shirtless, covered in ashes and he was absolutely perfect. He attacked Hank, which was totally OK because he “killed” him, but he accidentally shot Sheriff Stilinski!

So what exactly is Parrish? Like the entire Teen Wolf fandom, Derek (Tyler Hoechlin), Scott (Tyler Posey) and Lydia were all trying to figure that out.

Parrish was just as confused as the rest of the gang. He thought they were all psychic like Lydia. (LOL.) Then, Scott showed him his werewolf eyes. Enough said.

Naturally, Stiles followed his dad to the hospital after his wound. Stiles was so worried about his dad and how he was going to pay for the medical bills. This started up one of the most heartbreaking moments between these two. The Sheriff assured Stiles that they would be OK, but Stiles knew the pain behind the Sheriff’s eyes.

Stiles wanted to help take care of his dad, but Sheriff Stilinski was being stubborn.

“We’re supposed to take care of each other,” Stiles told his dad. (Emmy for Dylan and Linden anyone?)

‘Teen Wolf’ Recap: The Little Banshee

Lydia had special story time with Parrish and the gang. She told the story of Meredith (Maya Eshet) and how she went completely insane. Lydia believed that her grandmother had driven Meredith crazy and that she had driven her to suicide. She revealed that her grandmother created the dead pool list.

Meanwhile, Derek was having to explain to Scott about his current power situation. His eyes, strength and healing were kaput after what Kate did to him. Scott told him that his name had broken the third cipher key.

Derek brought up a good point about that fact — A banshee’s prediction didn’t mean danger, it meant death. (Ruh roh.)

Little Liam (Dylan Sprayberry) wasn’t having a too good a time in Beacon Hills either. As he rested in bed, his printer started spitting out dead pool lists. Baby Beta was spooked, and things got even worse when he started seeing a Berserker in the hallway at school.

Stiles and Lydia continued to skip school to try and figure out another cipher key. “Lydia” didn’t work, nor her mom. Stiles thought that maybe the keyword could have something to do with the relationship between Lydia and her grandmother. Lydia said they used to read The Little Mermaid when she was little. (So fitting.) When Lydia typed in “Ariel,” it totally worked!

In another new dead pool list, Lydia’s grandmother Lorraine Martin was on the list. Stiles was frantic to get a hold of Scott. Little Liam went from being worth just a mere $3 million to a whopping $18 million!

‘Teen Wolf’ Recap: Wasted & Afraid

Even with all the danger going around, the Beacon Hills bonfire was going off without a hitch. As always, a dance party was the main feature. Scott showed up and found Malia drinking her sorrows away. Scott said she couldn’t get drunk, but it sure seemed like Malia was wasted.

Scott relented that they needed to stick together because a killer list with their names on it was floating around. Malia didn’t want to talk about that or Stiles. She really was drunk, and so was Liam.

Scott started to experience a drunk-like feeling, and he hadn’t had a sip of anything. The police took Malia, Scott and Liam away for being “drunk” in public. After throwing them into the school, the officers started pouring gasoline all over them! Seriously, what is it with these cops and that dead pool list?

Before the police could set the trio on fire, Mason took a stand and turned off the music, which was causing the delirium. Almost instantly, Tyler got his powers back. Derek, Parrish, and Braeden all showed up to face off against the officers who tried to hurt Scott and the gang.

‘Teen Wolf’ Recap: The Benefactor

While Scott & Co. encountered trouble at school, Lydia and Stiles paid a visit to Eichen House. Brunski (Aaron Hendry) continued to be super creepy, but offered to help if he received the right amount of cash.

However, Brunski wasn’t into helping. He tased Stiles and Lydia and tied them up! During their captivity, Brunski had a terrifying chat with Lydia. “Some people here don’t need treatment, they need release,” Brunski seethed. Lydia still believed he killed Lorraine, but Brunski said he helped her.

Brunski popped in a tape titled “Lorraine Martin,” and it was brutal to listen to. Stiles pleaded with Lydia not to listen and just focus on his voice. (Super swoon.) When he yelled to turn it off, Brunski punched Stiles.

In the tape, Lydia’s grandmother said, “Please don’t hurt her.” When someone asked who it was, she said, “Ariel.” Lydia listened to the rest of tape and heard her grandmother take her final breaths.

Brunski was ready to drug her and had it right at her neck before Parrish busted in. Parrish didn’t hesitate to shoot Brunski. Lydia told Parrish that Brunski had killed her grandmother, controlled Meredith and used her to create the dead pool. She also revealed that she thought Brunski killed Meredith when she tried to help the gang.

As he succumbed to his injuries, Brunski managed to drop a huge bombshell on Lydia. “She was controlling me,” Brunski said in his final moments.

That’s when Lydia realized he wasn’t the Benefactor.

Meredith showed up and said he wasn’t on her list, but he was a “bad person.”

WHAT?!

Meredith is the Benefactor?! That’s something we didn’t see coming. Teen Wolf has some explaining to do.

HollywoodLifers, what did you think of tonight’s Teen Wolf? Are you surprised that Meredith was revealed as the Benefactor? (We are.) What do you think Deputy Parrish is?
