‘American Idol’ Finalist Josh Gracin Apparent Suicide — Leaves Note

So sad. Former 'American Idol' finalist Josh Gracin posted an apparent suicide note on his Facebook page on Aug. 14. The singer has been found and he is currently being held under psychiatric hold, a new report claims. Josh Gracin, 33, a finalist on season two of American Idol, left a disturbing Facebook message on Aug. 14, which was allegedly interpreted as a suicide note. The note hinted at possible marriage problems and he told his Facebook friends to pray for his family as they "carry on in this world without me." The singer is OK, and we're glad he is getting the help that he needs.

Josh Gracin: ‘American Idol’ Finalist Leaves Suicide Note

“I’ve loved her for 17 years… I made mistakes… I admitted them, told her the truth and she turned her back on me when I needed her help the most… I love you all.. You have given me the greatest gift. You allowed me to touch your hearts with what I loved to do the most… Please remember me as someone who gave his all in his music… Pray for my family as they carry on in this world without me. Goodbye,” Josh wrote on his Facebook page on Aug. 14, which has since been deleted. 

Cops headed to the Josh’s home in Spring Hill, Tenn. to check on the singer after a family member saw the Facebook message, TMZ reports.

When they arrived, Josh’s wife, Ann Marie, was there, but he was not, the outlet also reports. Police eventually made contact with Josh, who told his wife he was coming home, claims TMZ. The cops found Josh on his way home and told the outlet that “he’s safe.”

The singer is currently on a 5150 psychiatric hold, TMZ reports. He drove himself to the hospital after being found by police.

His manager, Amy, posted on the singer’s Facebook page to update fans on Josh.

“Good evening everyone. This is Josh’s manager, Amy. First, thank you everyone for your prayers and concern. Josh is safe and with his family now. We ask that you please respect their privacy during this time and continue sending your well wishes. I promise to update you soon,” she wrote.

Josh and Ann Marie have been married since 2001. They have four children together: Briana, 12, Gabriella, 8, Isabella, 6, and Landon, 9. Josh came in fourth place on season two of American Idol in 2003. He is also a former member of the United States Marine Corps.
