Jordana Brewster Talks Paul Walker — Actress To Film ‘Fast & Furious 7’ – Hollywood Life

Jordana Brewster: I Watch ‘Fast & Furious 5’ To Remember Paul Walker

The actress, who is about to start shooting her scenes for 'Fast & Furious 7,' tells HollywoodLife.com what she's doing to prepare for the film without her beloved co-star and onscreen husband, Paul. Jordana Brewster is gearing up to take on her role as Mia Toretto, once again, but this time things are going to be vastly different. The actress, famous for playing Paul Walker's, [Brian O'Conner] wife in the Fast & Furious franchise, will be filming her first scenes since Paul tragically died in a fiery car crash, in November of 2013. The 34-year-old caught up with HollywoodLife.com during her campaign on behalf of Purina for Pet Awareness Month and she told us that if she were to describe the upcoming film in one word, it would be "heart."

Jordana Brewster Talks ‘Fast & Furious 7’ & Remembers Paul Walker

The actress said that one of the things she’s doing to prepare herself for the emotional scenes to come, is re-watching, Fast & Furious 5

“I like to revisit all the last ones and get reacquainted with Mia,” she told us. “So I’ve been watching Fast 5, that’s my favorite, and I just work with someone and go through it, and prepare as best I can.”

We asked her why out of all the films that one in particular is her favorite, and she said it all has to do with her late co-star.

“It was the one that focused most intensely on Mia and Brian’s relationship,” she said. “So that one holds a very special place in my heart.”

Paul’s Brothers Completing His ‘Fast & Furious 7’ Scenes

Paul’s brothers, Caleb and Cody Walker were confirmed to be shooting some of Paul’s scenes, in order to complete the film. Universal Pictures released this statement when the news broke:

The FAST & FURIOUS saga is about family. The characters are connected by the bond of family, and it is how all of us who have worked together for more than thirteen years feel about each other. It certainly defines how we feel about our fans.

Our family experienced an unthinkable shock in November. We had to take time to grieve Paul, the brother we love and lost, and to figure out if we should move on with our film.

We came together and all felt the only choice was to continue. We believe our fans want that, and we believe Paul would want that too. Paul had already shot his dramatic scenes and most of his action for FAST & FURIOUS 7, and it’s among the strongest work of his career.

We have resumed shooting and now welcome Paul’s brothers, Caleb and Cody, into our FAST family. Caleb and Cody are helping us complete some remaining action for their brother and fill in small gaps left in production. Having them on set has made us all feel that Paul is with us too.

We are just under a year away from the release of FAST & FURIOUS 7, and this film is the most important we’ve ever done together. It will allow the character of Brian O’Conner to live on and let us celebrate Paul in his most defining role.

We wanted to take a moment to speak to our fans directly and thank you for the love and support you always show us as we resume our work.

HollywoodLifers, will you see Fast & Furious 7?
