Selena and her former friend Kendall attended the same dinner party on Tuesday, May 6 and apparently things between them were still super tense because they decided to sit on ‘opposite sides of the table.’ How awkward!
Selena Gomez and Kendall Jenner may travel in the same circles but that doesn’t mean they have to be friends! One day after they carefully avoided each other at the Met Ball in NYC on May 5, Selena and Kendall kept their distance again at a private dinner party hosted by designer Eli Mizrahi in NYC.
Kendall Jenner & Selena Gomez At Dinner Party: Their Awkward Run-In
Selena and Kendall were civil at best at the dinner party that was held in honor of Mirtha Michelle’s new book release “Letter to the Men I Loved.”
“Selena and Kendall were friendly,” a source tells Us Weekly. “They said hi to each other but sat on opposite sides of the table.”
Well, that doesn’t sound very friendly to us!
The dinner party was also attended by models Candice Swanepoel, Gigi Hadid, Maryna Linchuk and Coco Rocha, among others. Kendall, 18, sat with some girlfriends at the event while Selena, 21, opted to hang out with Gigi at the other end of what was surely a long table. We wonder if Selena and Gigi bonded over their recent splits from Justin Bieber and Cody Simpson.
Either way, we’re not surprised that Selena wasn’t eager to chat with Kendall now that her sister Kylie Jenner appears to be seeing Justin.
Selena Gomez Looks Happy & Sexy In New Video After Justin Bieber Drama
Selena isn’t letting the Jenner sisters’ betrayal get her down. She posted a video of herself laughing and having fun with her girlfriends on Instagram on May 8. She captioned the video: “Charity doesn’t know Spanish. PERO ladies, siempre amate a ti mismo,” , which translates to “always love yourself.”
We’re so glad to see Selena smiling and spreading positivity in spite of all the recent drama in her life.
What do you think, HollywoodLifers — was Selena right to give Kendall the cold shoulder or do you think they should make up? Let us know!
