Where did Tay go wrong? Poor Taylor Swift! The 24-year-old songstress can't seem to catch a break when it comes to romance. She and Douglas Booth, 21, seemed to hit it off when they hung out in November, 2013, but now a new report claims that the British hunk has been telling friends that she came on way too strong.

Taylor Swift & Douglas Booth Dating? — Why He Reportedly Rejected Her

It might be time to slow down, Tay! We’d be eager to make Douglas our boyfriend too, so we can’t really blame Taylor for pursuing the pouty-lipped actor. But unfortunately, her fearless flirting style seems to have backfired this time. Taylor ended up spending New Year’s Eve with her gal pals because Douglas reportedly ducked her advances, according to Radar Online.

“Doug is a young guy and is enjoying the single life,” a friend of the Romeo & Juliet actor tells the New York Daily News.“He was quite taken aback about how keen Taylor was. She has been in touch with him, but he just wants to be friends.”

Ouch! We almost feel sorry for Taylor. But then again, she’s got everything going for her so we know she’ll find love when the time is right!

Taylor Swift Dated Douglas Booth To Make Harry Styles Jealous

While it may be true that Taylor came on too strong, we don’t think Douglas should assume it was all about him. In fact, after their very public pub date, HollywoodLife.com learned EXCLUSIVELY that Taylor was only dating Douglas to get back at her ex Harry Styles.

“Taylor’s date with Douglas was all about making Harry jealous, and she made sure that everyone found out about her night out,” a source told us at the time. “Taylor usually tries to be really low-profile, but for her meeting with Douglas she purposely chose somewhere that she knew would get attention. She went to one of busiest pubs in London and sat in the public area. She wanted the news to get out about the date because she knows it will make Harry jealous.”

Perhaps Taylor will find the right guy when she stops playing love games with Harry!
