Patrick Kennedy Baby Born: Congressman & Wife Amy Welcome A Baby Girl
Amy gave birth to a 6 pound, 11 ounce baby girl named Nora at 3:11 p.m. on Nov. 19, according to People. She measured 18¼ inches. Nora was born at the Atlanticare Regional Medical Center in New Jersey.
Patrick — son of the late Senator Edward “Ted” Kennedy — and Amy got married in 2011. They have an 18-month-old son named Owen together, and Amy has a 5-year-old daughter named Harper from her previous marriage.
“Amy and I are thrilled to welcome Nora to our family and are thrilled that both mom and baby are doing well today,” Patrick, 46, said in a statement. “Harper and Owen are so excited to meet their baby sister.”
Patrick Kennedy Remembers John F. Kennedy
Nora’s birth came just days before the Kennedy family — and the entire nation — remembers the 50th anniversary of the assassination of JFK on Nov. 22. “This is an important year for the Kennedy family, especially this week as we remember President John F. Kennedy,” Patrick explained. “As we celebrate the birth of our daughter alongside our wonderful families, we honor the memories of those never far from our thoughts and turn a bittersweet time a whole lot sweeter.”
