Lily Collins: How She’s Helping Zac Efron Stay Clean After Rehab Stint

The most important part of post-rehab life is establishing a strong support system, and it seems that clean and sober Zac has done just that by leaning on his former (and reportedly current) girlfriend. Zac Efron, 26, has started to spend time with his ex-girlfriend Lily Collins, 24, and it seems he couldn't have made a wiser decision. The beauty has reportedly been helping the actor stay healthy while he adjusts to a new way of living after his stay in rehab due to alcohol and drug abuse.

How Lily Collins Is Helping Zac Efron Stay Clean & Sober

Lily has been a great source of comfort for Zac, who is doing his best to live a new life drug and alcohol free, a source tells Perez Hilton. First off, Zac and Lily have known each other for a long time, and more importantly she does not drink or do drugs. It also doesn’t hurt that she has a super positive and inspirational personality.

“Lily is the perfect girl for Zac to be dating right now. She’s young, gorgeous and smart — but more than anything, she doesn’t drink or use drugs. Zac knows if he wants to save his career and his life, he needs to stay sober and it’s making his transition a lot easier to be dating someone like Lily,” the source reveals.

Good for Zac for sticking with such a healthy and supportive friend.

And they’ve been having a ton of good, clean fun too! Zac and Lily visited the happiest place on earth — Disneyland — on Oct. 22 and even showed off their affection for each other.
