Jodi Arias’ Friend: Killing Was Mormon ‘Blood Atonement’ Plot

Mark this down as one defense we've never heard! As Jodi's trial continues, a friend now says that she didn't even do it! A few days ago Jodi Arias was trying to convince a jury that she killed her boyfriend Travis Alexander in self-defense. Now, her friend Bryan Carr says she didn't even kill him!

Asked to explain himself, Bryan told RadarOnline, “Jodi never actually killed Travis — the Mormons actually killed Travis!”

Bryan Carr: Jodi Didn’t Do It, The Mormons Did

The Mormons, eh? They’re the ones who shot Travis in the face, stabbed him 27 times, and then slit his throat?

“In the Mormon faith, they have a thing called a blood atonement that the bishop will practice on people high in the church like Travis was if sex, sins, or adultery were committed,” Bryan goes on. He also explains that in the Mormon ritual killing, they “slice your throat from ear to ear – just like Travis – they shoot you in the head, and stab you in the heart and in the back.”

He isn’t exactly wrong — Mormons do believe in a concept called “blood atonement” that certain heinous acts can only be atoned for through death. But — the practice of blood atonement hasn’t really been in regular practice since the 1850’s, and there is no forensic evidence that suggests Travis was killed as part of a ritual.

Jodi Arias: Why She Won’t Blame The Mormons

But say Bryan’s Mormon murder defense was true — why wouldn’t Jodi just explain that to the court, and why has she changed her story around so many times? Well, “her stories are so shaky on the stand and he reason why she has this lying problem is that because she is making up the story as she goes along.” Truer words have never been spoken.

Jodi’s friend finishes his conspiracy theory by saying that another reason Jodi hasn’t implicated the Mormons is because she’s afraid that she’ll be subjected to the religion’s murderous ways: “If Jodi went on the stand and said that it wasn’t her and that the Mormons did this, then they would go after her and her family.”
