“My beautiful wife Leigh and I are so proud to welcome our son to the world,” the singer tells People.
But how says that he and his wife, who have been married for five years, weren’t expecting their little man to arrive so soon! “Holden surprised us by arriving three days ahead of schedule at 6:37 a.m., [weighing in] at 6 lbs., 15 oz. and 20 inches long,” he adds.
“Holden is healthy and we couldn’t be happier,” he gushes. “Leigh is such an incredible woman and mother, and our son [James Hoke, 3½] is so excited to have a baby brother. I feel so lucky to have such an amazing family.”
Howie & Leigh Tie The Knot In December Ceremony
Leigh and Howie tied the knot in December 2007 in Howie’s hometown of Orlando, Fla. They welcomed their first son James Hoke in May, just a few weeks early. The middle name Hoke is in honor of Howie’s father Hoke, who died after battling cancer.
““Both Mommy and baby are doing great and Howie D is an ecstatic new daddy. They’d like to thank everyone for their well wishes!!” An announcement on the Backstreet Boys website read at the time.
