HollywoodLife.com spoke with the Simi Valley Police Department to get more information on Mark’s arrest on Feb. 9, just two days before he took his own life. We’ve learned that Mark not only had “possession” of a Methamphetamine, but he was ‘under the influence’ of it too. How sad!
Mark Balelo was definitely battling some demons before his suicide on Feb. 11. HollywoodLife.com spoke with Sgt. Craig Dungan, of the Simi Valley Police Department on Feb. 12, and he tells us that they were called to a residence around 7:30 am on Feb. 9, after someone reported a “disturbance.” That’s where they found Mark high on drugs and they arrested him.

HollywoodLife.com reached out to the Simi Valley Police Department and Sgt. Dungan told us: “Mark was arrested around 7:30 am for possession of a methamphetimine, basically simple possession, not to distribute. It’s a felony in this state. He was also charged with being under the influence of a controlled substance. We responded to an unknown type of disturbance in the area. Ultimately, Mark was contacted and officers determined he was under the influence and discovered he was in possession.”
Mark Has A History With The Law
Mark was reportedly arrested on Dec. 14, 2007 for three felonies. Those felonies were: possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and sale or transport of controlled substance.
Mark plead guilty to the third charge in 2009. The first two charges were eventually dismissed but on Feb. 9, 2009 he pled guilty to the third charge. Mark spent 60 days in jail and was given three years probation. But he violated his probation in 2011 for transporting a firearm and he went back to jail for 45 days.
Mark’s Fiancee Speaks Out On Facebook
We told you that Mark was engaged to Elizabeth Metzidis. She took to Facebook to post a message: “Thank you to everyone for all your thoughts and kind words. Mark lived for his friends and family and would so appreciate everyone here for their love. We are truly and completely devastated by this. Mark was everything. EM.”
Mark Took His Life Two Days After Drug Arrest
According to TMZ, Mark died by carbon monoxide poisoning. He was found dead in his car on Feb. 11. He was expected to appear in court on Feb. 19 in conjunction to the arrest on Feb. 9.
