“We wrote that on her trampoline. Yeah, that was fun. She’s a really sweet girl, really nice, very talented, very hard-working, just very down-to-earth,” Ed tells HollywoodLife.com. “It’s a nice love song. It’s all Taylor’s feelings and thoughts. We just bounced off each other.”
Ed says it felt so natural making music with Taylor that the song just poured out of them in about 20 minutes or so!
“It was a very, very smooth process. The song came out in about 20 minutes. It was very quickly written. It was just one of those songs that just fell out,” Ed tells HollywoodLife.com.
“Everything Has Changed” is about Taylor thinking about a boy who has green eyes and freckles. Sounds a lot like she’s referring to new boyfriend, Conor Kennedy? Don’t you think?
“All I knew this morning when I woke/ Is I know something now, know something now I didn’t before/And all I’ve seen since 18 hours ago is green eyes and freckles and your smile in the back of my mind making me feel right/ I just want to know you better know you better know you better now,” Taylor sings in the beginning of the song.
While this is the only Taylor/Ed song that will be on the album Red, the two have another duet in the pipeline as well, but Ed tells us it’s up to Taylor when (or if!) it will be released.
“I’ll have to ask her,” he says.
Well, if it’s anything like this one — we hope we can hear it very, very soon!
