“I’m eating for England and I am loving it,” the Spice Girl, 36, adds to Ok! Extra magazine. “Last year I was super fit and super healthy. And I will be again after this baby, because I have an active lifestyle.”
But although you would think a woman who was in superwoman shape would be bummed by gaining weight, the soon-to-be mom of four — she has three daughters, Phoenix, 12, Angel, 4, (with Eddie Murphy) and stepdaughter Giselle, 7 — says she couldn’t be happier — she loves her new curves!
“I enjoy all the different phases,” she shares with People. “Sometimes it can get uncomfortable when you’re pregnant and you don’t feel sexy because everything is swollen and a bit tender. But it’s just about making the most of the situation that you’re in. Being pregnant is a beautiful thing.”
Obstetrician Dr. Tara Solomon tells HollyBaby.com that the average weight gain during pregnancy is 25 pounds, but that women who work out and eat right can gain less. “There is no correct weight gain,” she explains. “Some overweight women can go without gaining one pound and still have a healthy baby.”
