Kourtney Kardashian has posted photos of herself using LED masks many times and the 43-year-old has admitted that she loves LED masks. LED stands for light-emitting diode and it pushes the light towards one area, which would be your skin.
Most LED masks have two light options – red and blue. The red light helps increase collagen production which is essential for anti-aging benefits, while the blue light is great for acne-prone skin.
Kourtney uses the DMH Aesthetics Led Light Shield Mask that costs $190 and it was written up on her website Poosh. The article stated, “Kourt loves the red and blue light the most. Since she’s added this ritual to her self-care routine, it’s been life-changing for her skin.”
Luckily, HollywoodLife spoke exclusively to Enrique Torres, Ulta Beauty Skincare Expert, who shared the three tools that do the same thing as an LED mask and the benefits of each.
DermaFlash Lux
Enrique shared, “The DermaFlash Lux reveals that fresh layer of skin in just one single use. That’s a 1000% improvement. What makes this tool great for everyone is that you can exfoliate with this tool, even if you have sensitive skin as you did not need to use strong chemicals to remove dead skin. Use it once a week on dry, clean skin.” $199, ulta.com
Nuface Trinity Facial Toning Kit + ELE Attachment Set
This tool improves your facial contour and Enrique shared, “This non-invasive tool is clinically tested to improve facial contour and tone, including firmness, and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Results are almost natural thanks to a powerful micro-current.” $449, ulta.com
PMD personal Microderm Elite Pro
This tool treats dead, dull skin, fine lines, and wrinkles. Enrique said it’s amazing because, it has “patented spinning disks embedded with aluminum oxide crystals that exfoliate away dead, dull cells from the surface of the skin. It’s a revolutionary at-home device that provides the same brilliant results as professional, in-office microdermabrasion treatments.” $299, ulta.com
