“I think, just messaging,” Yo Gotti said to HollywoodLife when describing the difference between his 2020 album ‘Untrapped,’ and his previous album, ‘I Still Am.’ “All my music is the expression of what I’m going through in life.” And Yo Gotti has gone through a lot. He lost half-a-millon dollars on a single blackjack bet, a move that made Jay-Z flip out. He took Moneybagg Yo under his wing, mentoring the next generation of rappers to reach their own heights of success. Gotti has even taken up the cause of prison reform, following the violent death of five prisoners in the Mississippi state correctional system. Before ‘Untrapped’ was set free, Yo Gotti stopped by HollywoodLife to talk about the album, what has to happen for it to be considered a success, and more/
