Asuka, born Kanako Urai on Sept. 26, 1981, is a WWE wrestler from Japan. Asuka came ontot the scene when she was still known by the name Kana in June 2004. After working with groups like NEO Japan Ladies Pro-Wrestling, Pro-Wrestling Wave, and Wrestling New Classic, Asuka made a deal with WWE in 2015.
Beyond her work as a wrestler, Asuka is a graduate of the Osaka University of the Arts Junior College. The WWE star has had articles featured in Xbox Magazine and she has also designed graphics for Nintendo DS and other mobile apps. She also owns her own hair salon in Yokohama called Another Heaven. Along with wrestling, she is also trained in the sports badminton and figure skating. She is currently the Raw Women’s Champion, enjoying her reign with the title.
