White House Christmas Decorations 2022 — Every year, the halls of the White House get decked with holiday-decor. First Lady Jill Biden announced that she had chosen the theme to be ‘We The People’ for the 2022 holiday season. While there are some staples that will surely be familiar, like the 77 Christmas trees or over 83,000 lights displayed, the first lady shared that she aimed for a unifying theme in her choices. The decor even featured some personal touches, like replicas Dr. Jill Biden and President Joe Biden’s dog Major and cat Willow.

“As our country gathers for the holidays, traditions may vary, but our shared American values—a belief in possibility, optimism, and unity—endure season after season. For this year’s holidays at the White House, we hope to capture the spirit embodied in the very idea of America: We the People,” she said in a press release announcing the decor.
