Wendy Williams is a television host, actress, author fashion designer and a former longtime radio personality. The talk show host had a meteoric rise from local radio DJ to household name. She gained notoriety for her on-air spats with celebrities and was the subject of the 2006 VH1 reality television series The Wendy Williams Experience, which broadcast events surrounding her radio show.
After stepping away from the public eye to manage multiple health issues, including Graves’ disease, Williams has largely kept a low profile. However, on January 16, 2025, during an interview on “The Breakfast Club” with Charlamagne Tha God, she opened up about her current situation, revealing, “I am not cognitively impaired but I feel like I am in prison.” She went on to explain that she felt trapped in a conservatorship, adding, “I’m in this place with people who are in their 90s and their 80s and their 70s. …. These people, there’s something wrong with these people here on this floor. I am clearly not.”
