Vanessa Williams: Photos — Vanessa Williams is an American actress, singer, model, philanthropist and former Miss Amerca. The multi-talented star was crowned Miss American in 1983, but gave up her crown under pressure from the Miss America Organization. She went on to become a successful actress and singer, releasing her first album in 1988. Her signature song, released in 1992, “Save The Best For Last” was nominated for the Grammy Award for Song of the Year and Record of the Year in 1993.

Vanessa went on to star in the film ‘Soul Food’, which received major praise. Her role as Wilhemina Slater in ‘Ugly Betty’ was a breakthrough moment in her TV career, and she was nominated three times for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
