Val Kilmer is more than just his impressive acting resume, he’s also a proud father of two. The star, who is known for his leading roles in ‘Top Gun’ and ‘Batman Forever’, wed to actress Joanne Whalley in 1988 after they met while working together on the movie ‘Willow’. They would collaborate again in 1989 with ‘Kill Me Again’. Val and Joanne welcomed daughter Mercedes in 1991 and son Jack in 1995, but decided to divorce in 1996. Even after their parting, the couple continued to work together, starring in ‘Played’ in 2006 and the horror flick ‘Twixt’ in 2011.

Val’s family has been at his side through hard times. He was diagnosed with throat cancer later in life, permanently affecting his voice and his acting career.
