Tyler Hoechlin — Tyler Hoechlin is an American actor, best known for playing Martin on The WB/CW’s 7th Heaven from 2003 to 2007, and as Derek on MTV’s Teen Wolf. Before all of that however, He got his big break playing Michael Sullivan, Jr. in the Road to Perdition — that role actually led him to his role on 7th Heaven. He’s also made brief appearances on Castle, My Boys and CSI: Miami. An avid baseball player since the age of eight, Tyler took some time off from acting after 7th Heaven to attend the University of California Irvine — where, of course, he also played baseball. He then went on to star as Superman opposite Melissa Benoist in Supergirl. “We are so thrilled and humbled to add another amazing actor to the legacy of this iconic character.” showrunner Andrew Kreisberg said, while announcing Tyler would take on the iconic Superman role.
