Tom Hanks — He is America’s national treasure. He is Tom Hanks. From his early appearances on television (‘Bosom Buddies,’ ‘Mazes and Monsters’) to his award-winning work in ‘Philadelphia’ and ‘Forrest Gump,’ Tom Hanks has won over the minds and hearts of fans across the world. He can be hilarious – see his comedic roles in ‘Splash,’ ‘Big,’ and ‘A League of Their Own’ – and romantic, as seen in ‘You’ve Got Mail,’ and ‘Sleepless In Seattle.’ He can also be dramatic, as seen in ‘Saving Private Ryan,’ ‘The Terminal,’ and ‘The Post.’ No matter what the role, Tom Hanks excels, which is why he has amassed countless acting awards. Oscars, Golden Globes, BAFTAS, a Kenedcy Center Honor and a Presidential Medal of Freedom – Tom has won it all.

He also won when it came to love. He was married to actress Samantha Lewes from 1978 to 1987. He married actress Rita Wilson in 1988, and have been together since. Tom is also a father. He and Samantha welcomed Colin Hanks and Elizabeth Hanks, while Tom and Rita have two sons: Chester ‘Chet’ Hanks, and Truman Hanks.
