Tinashe, born Tinashe Jorgensen Kachingwe, is a singer and songwriter from Kentucky. Tinashe knew, even at a young age, that she wanted to be a performer. She moved to Los Angeles as a child to pursue a career in entertainment and earned a few notable roles in high profile projects, like The Polar Express and Two and a Half Men. From 2007-2011, Tinashe was a member of the girl group the Stunners. But once the group broke up, she went on to release her own solo albums to positive reviews. One of her greatest hits thus far has been her collaboration with Snakeships and Chance the Rapper, “All My Friends.” With her rising fame, Tinashe was a contestant on the reality competition series, Dancing with the Stars and later earned the role of Mimi Marquez in the FOX production of Rent: Live.
