Hello neighbor! ‘Three’s Company’ premiered on Mar. 15, 1977 and made instant stars of leads John Ritter, Joyce DeWitt, and Suzanne Somers. The show, which was actually based on the British sitcom ‘Man About the House’, followed three roommates living in a Santa Monica, Calif. apartment all trying to navigate their constant misunderstandings, dramatic social lives, and financial struggles.

The show was popular during its run, among the top 10 TV shows of its time. Suzanne quit the show in 1980 and was replaced by Jenilee Harrison, who was later replaced by Priscilla Barnes. Additionally, the show spawned the spin-offs ‘The Ropers’ and ‘Three’s a Crowd’. Since going off the air, ‘Three’s Company’ has still remained popular in syndication.
