At around the age of 21, the Mississippi native moved to Los Angeles to find herself, and hopefully a job in modeling. She luckily landed a gig through ‘House of Dreams Model Search’ by Torrid, and then a gig with A&E, in which she became the face of its documentary series ‘Heavy.’ The series profiled 22 people, weighing from 240 to 630 pounds, who struggled with life-threatening health issues because of their obesity.
She has been on the cover of several publications, including NYLON, Cosmopolitan, SELF, and Parents. In addition, she has been featured on numerous “fatshion” blogs.
In case you didn’t know, Holliday is also quite the activist. She advocates body positivity and embraces the word ‘fat’… And we embrace her!
The model/makeup artist is 100 percent killing it on the carpet while killing all those beauty standards, and we absolutely live for it.
Since 2013, she has been pushing her #effyourbeautystandards movement on Instagram. The movement aims to show women that they do not have to be a certain size to love their body.
