‘Teen Mom: Young & Pregnant’ is a reality show that debuted on MTV in 2018. As part of the popular ‘Teen Mom’ series, it documents the lives of young women, including Ashley Jones, Lexi Tatman, Kayla Sessler, Jade Cline and Brianna Jaramillo, who all got pregnant in their teens and gave birth to their kids in 2017. Their ups and downs with boyfriends and becoming new mothers are all documented, which is meant to show the public the struggles of starting a family at a young age.

After season one, Lexi was let go from the series and replaced by a girl named Kaya from Virginia while Jade went on to replace Jenelle Evans in ‘Teen Mom 2’ after she was fired from the show.

In Aug. 2019, it was announced that MTV is planning on starting a British version of the series.
