Tatjana Patitz was one of the most iconic models of the 80s and 90s. She made her debut in British ‘Vogue’ in 1985, and continued to have a strong presence in the fashion world for the rest of her life. She sadly died at 56 in January 2023. Her passing was announced on Wednesday, January 11.

Aside from modeling, Tatjana was an actress, and she appeared in a handful of movies, including ‘Rising Sun’ and ‘Restraining Order.’ She notably appeared in a number of different music videos too, and perhaps is most famous for her role in George Michael’s ‘Freedom 90’ video.

Tatjana was also a loving mother to her son Jonah, and she was an outspoken activist, including for animal rights, gender equality and LGBTQ+ rights.
