I mean, c’mon, we all should know who Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter is by now, but just in case you’ve been living under a rock and need a brief introduction:
Beyonce is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, dancer and actress. And before having a big time solo career she was the lead singer of Destiny’s Child, aka one of the best-selling girl groups of all time!
Beyonce’s younger sister, Solange, has always been known for her quirky and fashion forward tastes. She knew from a young age that she wanted to be a singer and her dad Matthew Knowles as her manager signed her to a recording contract with his record company Music World Entertainment with Columbia Records when she was 16. She released her debut album ‘Solo Star’ in 2002.
She also tried her hand at acting, starring in the sequel to the cheerleading competition film ‘Bring It On’ in 2006. She released her second album ‘Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams’ in 2008, which included a song about her son titled ‘6 O’Clock Blues.’
